This Pumpkin Gourd (Cuia) is a traditional vessel used for preparing and drinking chimarrão, the classic Brazilian style of yerba mate. Made from natural dried gourd, each piece is unique in shape, texture, and tone, offering an authentic and cultural way to enjoy mate. Handmade in Argentina
Before first use, natural gourds require curing to seal and prepare the interior, helping improve durability and flavour over time. Please follow instructionsprovided in the brochure accompanying your gourd carefully. No refunds or exchanges are allowed on this product.
🧉 How to Use (Chimarrão Style)
- Fill the gourd about 2/3 with erva mate
- Tilt to form a slope and insert the bombilla
- Add warm water (not boiling, around 70–80°C)
- Refill gradually as you drink
