The Despolvillador separates fine particles from the yerba mate before you prepare your mate. Simply add the yerba, close it and give it a shake. The finer particles pass through the internal filter into the lower compartment, while the remaining yerba is ready to use.
 
It also has a pouring spout for transferring the yerba into your mate and a separate compartment where the collected polvo can be kept and reused later.
