For all those customers who have lent their dismay to the shortage of yerba over the later summer months and in particular to the Nobleza Gaucha range, we have good news for you too. New Goodies for sale

With each new shipment of yerba we always get in a few wee treats to share with special customers. With our last order we got some boutique mates to provide you with a broader variety and a mate for any occasion. We are proud to announce that La Pachamama are the sole distributors of Bursar products in Australia and New Zealand. Bursar manufacture artisanal products from Argentina including a very good selection of quality gourds and straws. From City Life to Rural Life, storing your yerba mate and the utensils for "tomando el mate" is a private affair. Some choose a mochila (back pack) that has compartments for the yerba, mate and bombilla (and even condiments such as herbs and sugars). Others will just throw it in a plastic bag to go to the park. The EcoTeas brand is Fair Trade certified and the areas where it is grown are also involved in native forest regeneration programs in Misiones Argentina. Because sustainable harvesting methods are used there is minimal impact to the surrounding ecosystem and because the yerba mate plant Ilex paraguayensis does not require high levels of the sun's energy the trees and the yerba mate grow in harmony!

Changes to the way La Pachamama delivers orders

With recent changes to the way NZ Post deals with couriers and parcel postage, La Pachamama has adjusted it's freight calculations on our credit card ordering page. We are confident that our charges reflect the best fit based on the size and weight of parcels that are posted. For larger orders we will be tracking all deliveries, so if you do not receive your parcel within the three day expected delivery time for the Parcel Post service, then get in contact with us and we will see where it may've gotten to. We will no longer provide tracking services for smaller orders where deliveries are not tracked (approximately 1kg or less).
