where it is grown are also involved in native forest regeneration
programs in Misiones Argentina. Because sustainable harvesting methods
are used there is minimal impact to the surrounding ecosystem and because
the yerba mate plant Ilex paraguayensis does
not require high levels of the sun's energy the trees and the yerba mate
grow in harmony!
